My number one goal is to preserve and protect the great place in which we live. This includes, but not limited to, our neighborhoods both on and off the island, Venice’s commitment to history, the quaint downtown, the theatre, the parks, the greenspaces, the walkability and bikeability, the beaches; Casperson, the Pier, the South Jetty, and our wildlife. We must never forget these are not amenities. This is Venice’s identity. We cannot let it slip away.
 

01 CONTROL GROWTH 

Follow the comprehensive plan to protect neighborhoods, by managing density and building heights. Exceptions should be made only when the impact is positive for the all, not just for the developer. Growth and development have to be balanced with the current infrastructure, stormwater drainage systems, traffic flow and its impact to our natural environment and wildlife.

02 NEIGHBORHOOD FIRST

Residential and local businesses need support to flourish without risk to quality of life, increased taxes and/or loss of business opportunities. They are vital to our community and economic growth. Each brings their own uniqueness to our city and we need to protect, embrace, and listen to their concerns and needs.

03 OPEN CASPERSON & THE SOUTH JETTY
We must work proactively with the County to accelerate the opening of Casperson. Continue to maintain active engagement with the Army Core of Engineers to fast-track the progress on the South Jetty. We need to anticipate next steps, take the initiative and drive the critical conversations keeping the public informed every step of the way. These are 2 of Venice’s most iconic landmarks and are vital components of Venice's identity.
